COVID-19 We are Open!
While our Lodge was closed due to the South African Government’s lockdown regulations last year, we were carefully planning protocols and procedures to protect our guests and staff. We also used the time to engage with and train staff, and to renovate and upgrade our Lodge. Our entire team adheres to the strictest hospitality protocols issued by The Tourism Business Council of South Africa as well as World Health Organisation recommendations. We have taken extensive additional measures to ensure complete peace of mind for our guests by enforcing strict Covid-19 policies which includes (amongst others) daily sanitizing of all main areas, rooms, back of house areas and vehicles with a specialized machine; alcohol sanitizers of 70% and higher available throughout the property; adequate social distancing (including not filling our safari vehicles), as well as wearing of masks and protective equipment.

Even though it was a challenging year, we are excited to be operational again and can’t wait to host you! Our dedicated team is on hand should you have any questions or to address any concerns. Peace, tranquility and rejuvenation!

The best reserve experience
Incredible place awesome staff and simply the best food ever. Our second visit and they make every second special. Game drives are always a highlight with a cheetah kill to top it off. Jp has a huge knowledge of the animals and does his best all the time.

Best stay in Game Lodge in KZN for Vegans
Excellent lodge with very accommodating, professional staff all around. Rooms were clean and luxurious without being too pretentious.Chef Caters for vegetarian vegan and gluten free diet . We enjoyed every part of our stay. Will definitely return

What a treat 🙂
If you look for a very special treat , book a stay at Nambiti plains. Not only have they beautiful lodges and very tasteful food, their service is beyond ! They make you feel like someone special. The safaris are amazing: not rushing past the animals but enjoying playful lions or eating cheeta’s for as much time as you like .

Best Game Reserve Holiday Ever!
This has been the most amazing holiday we've had at any game reserve in South Africa. Magdel, Bettie and Johnothan made us feel as if we were family from the first warm welcome to our teary goodbye. They also helped me plan an amazing proposal which my now fiancé had absolutely no suspicions of, or idea that it was going to happen! Brendan and Zanele prepared the most incredible food that had us enjoying every bite! Sindy and Ventinah were always there to help with their smiling faces and fantastic service. Johnothan took us on the most memorable game drives and left us with fantastic stories and pictures to share! The lodge is incredible and set in the most beautiful part of the Nambiti Game Reserve. Our honeymoon suite was breathtakingly beautiful and luxurious! Thank you all so much for an incredible holiday and engagement! We will definitely be back!

Dream honeymoon! Book it!
From the moment we arrived to the minute we left everything was perfect and every single member of staff was so lovely and could not do enough for you. The hotel itself is beautiful and our honeymoon suite was stunning and kept impeccably clean the entire stay. The food during our stay was excellent and the chef took my food intolerances seriously going to great lengths every meal to make me delicious safe alternatives I could enjoy without fear of reaction. Special shout out to our wonderful game drive guide Johno who took the time to get us the best sightings of the big 5 and shared many stories and jokes with us along the way. I can not praise all the staff enough and the effort every single one of them went to, to look after us. All genuinely lovely people who took time to get to know you.

WOW!
We cant begin to thank your team enough for the amazing experience we had. If we had more time we wouldve come back. The teenagers really really loved the whole experience. From the staff, to the food and accomodation to the game drives and the guide-Jason. You made it a really special time for us. Being so close to the animals was a dream in itself.

Incredible experience and attention to detail

Absolute Perfection
Such a beautiful and tranquil game lodge to stay. Very intimate and friendly but with exceptional care and attention. The game drives were incredible, and we also booked a walking safari, which was a great experience. We were treated and surprised one night with dinner on our balcony and a candlelit bath, which was a delight and most unexpected. What really makes Nambiti Plains, apart from the animals, is the ream. Without exception, everyone is so friendly and does everything possible to make sure you have everything you need. Food is also delicious with good choices at all meal times. We will definitely return.
