Private bush dinners
Lit by candlelight and starlight, we can arrange a romantic private dinner for you and your loved one on your private deck overlooking the wild African bush below. You’ll be treated to a three-course meal for just the two of you, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
“My hubby and I had the most amazing stay at Nambiti Plains to celebrate my fortieth birthday and our ten-year wedding anniversary, and will definitely be back! Our villa was stunning, comfortable, peaceful and luxurious – huge comfortable beds with just the sounds of the bush surrounding you. Brent, Axel, Dave and the rest of the staff do an amazing job; they went out of their way to help make our stay extra special with a private, romantic dinner and an amazing lunch next to the river. The game drives were brilliant. Axel is a great ranger – very knowledgeable and enthusiastic! We thoroughly enjoyed the food – three courses for brekkie, lunch and supper, such a treat! A highlight for us was not being able to get through the front door of our villa after dinner as an elephant blocking the doorway! We then had the privilege to watch him from our deck as he carried on munching away at the trees, unforgettable! Thanks all at Nambiti Plains for a much-needed break!” – Nicola and Ben, TripAdvisor
The spectacular Sundays River cascades are the site of our bush picnics, a chance to dine al fresco right in the middle of the bush with the sound of the river in the background. You’ll enjoy a game drive on the way to the river then enjoy a chef-prepared picnic outside. In the summer months, a dip in the river is a special treat.
“A highlight was the riverside picnic which was set up for lunch – such an idyllic setting where everything had been laid on for us and where we could enjoy clambering over the rocks and dipping into the pools after enjoying a delicious spread!” – TripAdvisor
Private game drives
Enjoy the bush at your own pace by reserving your own private game drive during your stay. This is a perfect opportunity for keen photographers and birders – stop when you want, where you want, for as long as you want to get the shot or find that elusive bird species.
While on safari in the evening, your guide will take the opportunity to point out and discuss the night skies. The Milky Way is a phenomenal sight to behold on a clear night, and the plethora of constellations such as Orion, Taurus the Bull, the Southern Cross, Scorpio and many others will keep you in wonder.
With a pre-booked night drive, you’ll have a chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of the bush at night. You will have the opportunity to see the more elusive nocturnal animals’ resident on the Nambiti Reserve such as porcupine, large spotted genet, jackal, aardvark and the ever-elusive leopard.
